I challenge you to find a better, more trustworthy or more reliable contractor than
Daniel Spadotto from D1 Contracting. I live overseas and needed to conduct
extensive renovations on my semi-detached house in Sydney. Daniel was highly
recommended by a friend of mine, and I can say without hesitation that he has been
a godsend. His workmanship is of the highest quality. My house is a century old and
was looking old and dated. It now looks fresh and modern.

Apart from the renovations and repairs he can personally perform, he engages
professional sub-contractors who can carry out other specialised jobs (e.g. electrical,
painting, carpentry, plumbing, rendering, etc). Daniel oversaw all the site workers
with competence and dedication, providing me with priceless peace of mind knowing
that he had everything under control and managed efficiently. It is something I have
never experienced with any other tradesperson.

Daniel was very good with communications, often sending me detailed accounts of
progress and upcoming tasks. He also provided excellent recommendations on ways
to improve or repair items in the house. Apart from his skill at conducting and
managing the renovations and repairs, I especially appreciated Daniel’s honesty, and
how he worked on my home with the same care and attention he would devote to his
own.

He was also a wonderful advocate for the home – for example, with the tradesperson
installing a new kitchen, and when he needed to work with an unreliable roofer I had
hired, by ensuring that the roofing job was completed to Daniel’s high standards.
It has been enjoyable and refreshing to work with Daniel, as contractors like him are
rare in the Sydney building industry.

If you require attention to detail, reliability, and dedication to the job, hire Daniel. You
will not regret it.

We engaged Daniel to renovate our bathroom in our Inner West home. The whole process ran seamlessly. It started with a site visit where we quickly established that Daniel is the type of builder everyone should hope to have. He is pleasant and listens and has valuable insights. After the site visit Daniel prepared a detailed quote that clearly identified both known and potentially unknown costs so that there were no hidden surprises. His total price was highly competitive with the other quotes we received. It wasn’t the absolute lowest, but its detail and the honest approach that he exuded when we first met him encouraged us to choose him in any event. Ultimately we are so grateful that we did. His building work is first rate. His attention to detail is amazing. The trades he used were all very pleasant and as communicative as he is. He left the site clean and tidy at the end of every day. We came across D1 Contracting while looking to do some renovations on our house. After a few quotes, we chose D1 because they go by-the-book in making sure that structural plans are drawn and submitted for council approval and their eye for detail.

During the works, we found Daniel and his team to be professional, trustworthy, friendly, accommodating and above all, deliver on the work promised.

Daniel was there every step of the way to plan out the phases of each work, communicate the next steps and make sure all works are done to our satisfaction (and his) – all the while listening and answering our questions patiently. His experience made the whole process seem so straightforward and easy and his eye for detail shows in the high quality workmanship.

In the end, we were delighted with how our renovations turned out and were so glad that we went with D1 Contracting. We highly recommend them to anyone wishing to renovate or build and would definitely call them back the next time we’re thinking of renovating!

They say “it’s who you know”, well I know Daniel, and he knows all the best tradespeople.

We recently had our bathroom completely redone and we were so impressed with Daniel and his team, that we have more work booked in for later this year. Daniel is always on time, and he is true to his word. His work ethic is only rivaled by his honesty; a nice surprise in the building game. Every request was addressed; and every unexpected hiccup was dealt with quickly and professionally. His attention to detail is without fault and the finishes are top notch. The final result is better that even we could have imagined.

Not only is Daniel a great builder, he is a great guy too. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Daniel managed a complete renovation of my very old bathroom, replacement of my floors throughout, re tiling of my kitchen and a few other updates within my apartment including a few things that needed doing that he got done without cost to me.
I cannot fault the work, it is of an extremely high standard, exactly what I wanted and I was delighted with Daniel’s attention to detail and his communication and investment in spending many hours with me before work commenced to help me understand the process, costs and also to help with the design and choice of items. He even spent the time to let my neighbors know when there would be noisy work and worked with them around meetings they were having from home of which was highly appreciated. Daniel delivered in challenging times including having to pause work during COVID all whilst I was out of the state working for an extended period of time. Daniel is a thoroughly nice fella (several of my neighbors even said the same!) and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Daniel as a builder and I will be approaching Daniel to help with the next project.

At a time when it is really hard to find great tradesmen Daniel came highly recommended.

Our partial bathroom and kitchen renovation were probably more difficult than a total gut as Daniel had to be very careful in the demolition phase of the job so he could preserve what we were keeping.

Not only is Daniel one of the nicest people you will have the pleasure of meeting, his work is meticulous and all of his subcontractors were excellent and reasonable. Daniel takes great care of your property and I can honestly say that you can not fault his work. When things crop up, as they do, Daniel always had a solution or suggestion that helped us resolve the issue. There is not one aspect of our job that we are not 100% happy with.

If anyone were to ask, we would definitely tell them that you could not get a better builder or nicer person.
